1E have enjoyed learning about measurement and mass this week including the longest to the shortest!
We have been learning about Information Reports. We worked in teams on a report about our favourite animals using Book Creator and Kid Pix to create our headings. Once completed we presented our Information Reports to the rest of our class.
Year One completed some interesting work on graphs. We walked to the highway and tallied how many cars, trucks, motorbikes, vans and mini buses past us. When we returned to school we followed up by creating graphs and discussing the results.
Year One had a wonderful time at the Moruya Airport for our Transport excursion. We saw planes, helicopters, skydivers, seaplanes, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and a wonderful winching display!
A big thank you to South Coast Seaplanes and the Fairweathers for taking us through their hanger and explaining all about planes and helicopters. Thanks also to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew for showing us their wonderful helicopter and allowing the children through it. Thanks to Skydive Oz for showing us their hanger and the Broulee Surf Club for the use of the Rescue Jetski and IRB. |
